| Resumen |
- Cancer is a disease characterized by disorderly proliferation of cells. Prostate cancer is a major public health problem worldwide in the male population. An indispensable factor for the development of prostate cancer is the expression of viral oncogenes and cells. It is now accepted that MMPs and inflammation are involved in the ability of the invasive and metastatic cancer próstata1. Recently it has been proposed that the anti-inflammatory or inhibition of MMPs may be therapeutic tools for prostate cancer. It was tested in vitro and in vivo. Meclofenamic acid was tested in the cell line PC3 prostate cancer cell death observed. In animal model, meclofenamic acid significantly decreased tumor growth and increase the survival of mice treated, in some individuals achieving total tumor regression. Conclussion: Meclofenámic acid is an effective anti-tumor agent against prostate cancer2. |
